Learning how to be with our experience in a fully embodied way is at the heart of emotional health and resilience.
Emotional health is the capacity to be aware of, to allow, to express, and (when necessary) to manage our emotions so that we can widen the gap between stimulus and response--allowing what we are noticing in the moment to better inform us about what we are actually feeling and how best to respond.
As lovely as this sounds, it can be difficult. Our body can feel numb, our inner landscape can appear hostile, feelings can be ferocious, the circumstances of life can break our heart.
In this accessible and practical three hour workshop, we will focus on deepening our capacity for sensory awareness while building a toolkit of tangible, somatic (body based) resources in our yoga/movement practices that we can turn to for support in challenging times. Our time together will include facilitated group discussion, sensory awareness practices, yoga practice, breathwork, visualisation, and journalling. Bring your yoga mat, a journal + pen.
