About Me

I’ve been teaching yoga, experiential movement, and body awareness as healing arts since 2005. Over nearly two decades, I’ve worked as a Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), and led a respected yoga teacher training program in Christchurch. Today, I bring the depth of these body-based practices into my work as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner® (SEP).

As a somatic therapist, I support people to deepen body awareness, access and stay with their body sensations, understand and support their unique nervous system, and build the inner and outer resources needed to meet life as it is.

My one-to-one sessions are anchored in Somatic Experiencing® but also harvest extensive study of applied psychology, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Eastern philosophy, counselling, and somatic narrative writing. I offer somatic therapy for physical, emotional, and mental health challenges, and mentorship for yoga teachers, therapists, and allied professionals seeking to integrate a somatic lens into their work.

I completed the full three-year training in Somatic Experiencing and I'm a registered SEP. I’ve also trained in the Somatic Regulation & Resilience approach with Kathy Kain and Steve Terrell, and am a Co-Regulating Touch practitioner. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling (First Class Honours), and in 2024 completed a Master’s in Creative Writing at Victoria University.

I’m deeply fascinated by how our bodies carry story — how sensation and emotion intersect with our human need to make meaning through movement, language, and storytelling.
